The Fault in Our Stars

Last night I saw the movie The Fault in Our Stars at the cinema with friends. I have not read John Green’s novel so was not really prepared for the movie. Aside from a few trailers that I had seen on the tv I didn’t really know what the movie would be about, I only knew that the main character was sick.

The Fault in Our Stars turned out to be a beautiful love story between two teenagers. It took me back to a time when young love was so powerful and felt destined to last for eternity.

It was definitely a tear jerker that’s for sure, but although sad, I found it to be a very positive movie, beautiful and touching.

I don’t want to give too much away it has only just come out here in Melbourne, but if you are looking for something good to see at the movies this week, then you really can’t go past The Fault in Our Stars, just make sure you take some tissues.

  1. Glad you enjoyed the movie, Ma’am. I’ve read that book and it’s so lovely and surely a tearjerker. Looking forward to watching it 😀

    Lovely weekend!

  2. We saw “Frozen” last night for the first time – the last people in the civilized world to have seen it – so we’re probably about 9 months behind current films. Max says it’s a “chick flick”, but what does a Maltese know about movies anyway?

  3. I have the book, but haven’t yet read it — because I know it’s sad. Glad to hear, though, the film is uplifting. Maybe I’ll have to check it out.
