50 Shades of Grey
I went and saw 50 shades of Grey with the girls at the beautiful Cameo cinema on Saturday and despite all the negative reviews I enjoyed the movie. I enjoyed all the books as well, and yes the book is definitely better than the movie, but it was still good to see.
There was a lot of sex and they did show a lot more than what I was expecting they would especially since the movie was only rated M.
The whole night was really good, there was a photo booth with cool props, yummy cocktails, goodie bags, great company and a long awaited movie. A great girls night out for sure.

Mystery Post it note
This post it note appeared on my fridge this morning. I’m not sure how it got there, or who Alan is for that matter and how on earth he knows I’m going to Italy is beyond me.
I did text my husband to see if he could shed some light, and finally after much prompting he finally explained that Alan was a courier for one of the Freight Forwarders that use to come into the office years ago when I use to work in shipping too, turns out he still remembers me and wanted to say hello and he recommend us visiting Orvieto (which is a place in Italy and not a hotel as I originally thought lol).
Kind of made my day 😊😊😊
The secret to happiness
Last day of primary school
Today was the last day of primary school for my twins. As of next year they will be heading off to high school embarking on the next phase of their lives.
The future is exciting and filled with so many possibilities. All I could think of was how it had felt waking them into the school on their first day of prep. How excited they had been and how nervous, it’s like we have come full circle in 6 weeks I will be waking them into high school. How quickly the time has passed.
To signify the end of the year, the school hosted an all school assembly and all the Grade 6 children got to stand up the front and perform their grade 6 graduation song which this year was Justice Crew’s Que Sera.
There were many tears shed, mainly by the mums.
Grade 6 ended with a bang at the after party where the kids got to sing and dance and take lots of selfies.
A jar full of happiness
I saw this on Pintrest the other day and thought what a wonderful idea!!
A jar full of happy memories that you can look back on and relive all over again!!
Next year is going to be a good year I can just sense it!! My babies are starting high school, Georgie is going to be in year 10, hopefully he will get a job and will also be getting his learners permit, Stephen and I along with my brother and sister are planning a wonderful holiday overseas to gorgeous Italy, my nephew will be going to the university of his choice to study, we have two 50th birthdays and a sweet sixteen. There will be plenty of opportunities to fill that jar to the brim with good memories. I can hardly wait to get started.
Only 23 sleeps till Christmas!!!!
It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas
Well the Christmas tree is up and the house has been decorated and it sure is beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!!
I realise it’s not December yet but tomorrow I have my work Christmas dinner, so there would not have been any time to decorate.
Madelyn and I had lots of fun going through the boxes of Christmas decorations, we had the Christmas carols playing in the background. This year we chose a pink and silver theme for our Christmas tree the only thing missing are some Christmas lights but we will get some during the week.
Even Dexter got into the Christmas spirit rocking a tinsel collar.
Only 25 sleeps till Christmas!!!
Best weekend ever!!!
Yesterday was mum and dad’s 50th Wedding Anniversary!! Many of you know that my brother, sister and I had a surprise celebration planned for them, what you didn’t know and what they didn’t know, was that our surprise was a night out on the Titanic!!
That’s the Titanic theatre restaurant not the actual Titanic that sunk in 1912. The Titanic theatre restaurant is a beautiful restaurant in Williamstown Melbourne done up as a replica of the Titanic ocean liner. A limousine picked us up at mum and dads place around 5:30pm, and after taking heaps of photos we set off for what was a great night.
Mum and dad were very happy, everything was perfect, the food, the atmosphere, the show, the limo ride there and back.
50 years of marriage is an awe inspiring milestone that needs to be celebrated that’s for sure.
Here’s to many more happy years mum and dad.
Another lovely Sunday
Another lovely Sunday filled with soccer and kids and family. If it wasn’t for the freezing cold temperature I would say it was a perfect Sunday. Still the sun was shinning and the ducted heating was cranked up to max and my husband pulled off another super delicious roast pork which is his specialty.
I hope everyone else had a lovely Sunday too filled with good times, family and friends.
