Christmas wonderland in the suburbs

IMG_2621.JPG

My sister’s next door neighbours really love Christmas!! I love Christmas, but they really really love Christmas!! Their house is decked out in so many Christmas decorations and lights that they literally need to start setting up in September just to have everything ready by the 1st of December.

People turn up in car loads and even bus loads. My children are always in awe when we go over to admire and soak up the Christmas festivities and so is everyone else.

18 sleeps till Christmas

  1. I love such wonderful christmas decorations and I love it to drive around in the evening to see the christmas light. I’m more the Grinch when it comes to decorating, I always fear the effort when I have to put it away after christmas :o)

    1. There is a Facebook page apparently which tells you where all the decorated Christmas lights/homes are, we use to love driving out to see them too when the kids were younger, but since my sister brought the house next door we have been going there and every year just seems to be bigger and better than the last. Like you I love putting up all the decorations but dislike having to pack them all away once Christmas is over. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

  2. How festive! Living in a high rise condo there is no option for exterior decorations but we always go for drives in the neighborhoods known for their home decorations and the City of Honolulu does a special set-up that is delightful to visit, too.

  3. I always wonder what it would be like to live next to a Christmas house (something tells me sleep would be difficult to come by at certain hours – though it would definitely get you in a Christmas mood!).
